The day started out like any other. I woke up, ate breakfast, and went off to work. I was headed to my job as a computer technician at a small business. The day started off uneventful, but then things quickly changed. I was in the middle of diagnosing a computer issue for a customer when suddenly the power went out. I quickly realized that it wasn’t just our office that had lost power, but the entire building. I thought it was strange, but I figured it would be fixed soon enough. I waited a few minutes, but the power still hadn’t come back on. I then decided to go outside and check the situation. As I stepped out of the building, I saw that the power outage had affected the entire block. I was amazed at the sight. All around me, businesses and homes were without power. I could hear people talking about what might have caused the outage. Some people speculated that it might have been a power surge, while others thought it was just a fluke. I decided to head back inside to see if I could get any work done. Unfortunately, the computers were still down and I couldn’t do anything. I then decided to call my boss to let him know what had happened. He told me to just go home for the day and he would call me when the power was restored. So I packed up my things and headed home.
