The following is an interview with Mark McEwan, host of the new Food Network Canada show, Top Chef Canada.
Q: How did you become involved with Top Chef Canada?
A: I was approached by the producers of the show and asked to be a judge. I was very excited to be part of the show and I'm really looking forward to seeing how the competition unfolds.

A: Top Chef Canada really stands apart from other food shows in that it focuses on the chefs and their culinary creations. Q: What do you think makes for a successful chef?
A: A successful chef must have a passion for cooking and a desire to constantly learn and improve their skills. They must also be creative, have a great palate, and be able to work well under pressure.
Q: What do you think are the biggest challenges for the contestants on Top Chef Canada?
A: The biggest challenge for the contestants on Top Chef Canada is to stay focused and consistent throughout the competition. They must be able to take criticism, remain calm under pressure, and be willing to take risks. It's also important for them to stay organized and think ahead.
Q: What advice would you give to aspiring chefs?
A: My advice to aspiring chefs is to always put your heart and soul into your work. Make sure you are constantly honing your skills, learning new techniques and keeping up with the latest trends. Also, don’t be afraid to take risks and be creative. Finally, never forget that cooking is not just a job, it’s a passion!
