We are looking to recruit an experienced and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our team at The British School of Gran Canaria. The successful candidate will work alongside teachers to provide students with the best possible learning experience and will work primarily within the primary school. The successful candidate will: • Have a minimum of 3 years’ experience working as a teaching assistant • Have experience of working with primary aged students • Have a good understanding of the British National Curriculum • Have excellent communication skills and be able to work effectively as part of a team • Have a positive and proactive attitude • Have an excellent command of written and spoken English • Have the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff and parents • Have a commitment to professional development • Have experience of working with special needs students • Have experience of working with English as an Additional Language (EAL) students • Be willing to undertake additional duties as required The successful candidate will be rewarded with a competitive salary and the opportunity to work in a vibrant and international school environment.
